Milgard vinyl single hung window

Quick Learner from Simi Valley, CA
I need to replace the balancers on my Milgard Vinyl window. The window is approximately 20 years old.
sash weighs approximately 16 lbs,
channel is 1/2" in width
metal part of balancer is 21" long

There is also a little plastic part that's 5/8" x 1/2". ( please see all pictures attached).
Please let me know if these are available and the cost. I'll need two.
Thank you,
Judith

Hi Judith, thank you for posting,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380 or S385 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.

You will need a 21" balance with a 2040 stamp option.

I believe your last picture may be a top sash guide, but it is too damaged to identify. Do you have an undamaged version from the other side or a similar window that we could review? Thank you!

My balancer matches the S380, it has the 1" balance shoes.
I've attached a picture of the other top sash guide that's intact. It measures 1 1/2" long, 5/8" wide, 9/16" at highest point.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you,

This looks like the older Milgard top sash guide. These aren't made anymore, to my knowledge, but the good news is that we've successfully used our 18-009 as an alternative. The catch is that you will have to trim down the top edge so that its flush with the body, otherwise it wont fit in the window. Look over its dimensions and see what you think!
