Milgard window balancer

The metal portion is 27 in long.  The stamp reads 26 5 EX CMC 4. This looks like the S385-27 part but the sash weight code has a blank for the third digit, I.e., a space between 26 and 5.  Also the existing part doesn't have any holes along the sides but it still seems to be the only match.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into. Can you show us the top and bottom fittings of the balance along with the confirmed depth of the bottom fitting? We would also like to see an image of the inside of the balance’s metal channel, where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism; this connection is located in the middle of the channel.

Hopefully these are the pictures you need. The depth of the bottom fitting seems to be slightly more than 1 and 1/16 in.

Great thank you!

Please review the S385-27 channel balance that has a 1-3/32" shoe depth. The original stamp will translate to a 2650 stamp option that can support a 26-30 pound window sash. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

That measurement seems to match what I have.

Thank you. I have a few other window balancers to replace. I know the lengths and weight rating might vary, but would you expect them to all be the same model?
Also, do you sell entire lower windows for replacement?

If the window brand is the same, the Series of balance should be the same but we recommend checking just to be sure you get the right hardware for your repairs.
