Milguard Patio Door (Sliding) Latch Lever

Quick Learner from Santa Cruz CA
This Milguard lever is about 2 1/2" in length. The 2 little tabs on the end of the lever broke off. Can you please suggest a replacement? I saw one of your products that looked very similar... but it did -not- have the 4 "teeth" on the shaft.
Thank you

Thanks for posting! May I please see a photo of the compatible handle set? Your patio handle latch lever looks similar in style to our 82-240 Roto Multi-Point Mortise latch Lever. Although, I am wary this may not work as a replacement for your handle because yours does have a slightly different design.

In the meantime, take a look over the dimensions and design to determine if this could possibly work for your repairs.

Hi Jasmine: Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm attaching photos of the Milguard handle assembly... both the mount on the door as well as the inside of the handle. I did not see any identifying numbers.... just "Made in New Zealand." Please let me know your thoughts on the compatibility of PN 82-240. Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the photos. Your handle set has two brackets around the hole where the latch lever would install, so it would not be a viable solution for your repairs; there would be a lot of play in the lever. Your best bet would be to replace the entire handle set.

Our 82-080 Mortise Style Handle Set should work well as a suitable replacement. Be sure to carefully review and compare the dimensions below to confirm that this will be a suitable replacement for you. The keyed version of this handle set is the 82-081.

I also wanted to mention that we typically see damaged to a thumb lever like this when the mortise lock has become damaged in so way. I am happy to provide you with a recommendation for the replacement but I will need to see a photo of the existing mortise lock. There are few compatible with the recommended handle set.
