Milguard Vinyl Window Caldwell Balance

A contractor from Near Osaka, Japan says:

The metal shaft measures 15 inches.

"14 3 IQ CALDWELL"

is printed on the metal shaft.

There are no other markings.

I require several of these balances to service a home that I built 20 some years ago for a client here in Japan.

I would appreciate the help in identifying the proper replacements as well as source suggestions.

Thank you,

Chris

Hey Chris. This looks like an S380-15 to me, or possibly an S380-15. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or 'heel-to-toe' measurement. The Series 385 has a shoe depth of 1-3/32", while the Series 380 has a 1" shoe depth. To my eye this looks more like a Series 385, but it is highly recommended you measure this yourself to confirm. You'd then need to select a stamp option; use 1430.

I am afraid I don't know of any suppliers or sources for these parts in Japan, but we can ship to you as well as worldwide.
