Missing Handle

Home Owner from Grover, Utah
Hi there,
I am am not sure what parts I need to replace this. It is missing the handle and I am unable to get the casement off. I don't see any names, numbers or markings on the existing hardware.
Thank you!

Hello there. It looks like the 'gear worm' the handle attaches to popped out. When that happens, it means the entire window operator has broken down and must be replaced. We need to see the entire mechanism, including the arm(s) that move the window, to identify a replacement. A bird's eye view, either with the operator out of the window or at least with the window open, would suffice. We'll do our best to help from there.

Hi Bob - thanks so much for the quick reply and troubleshooting. I was able to pry open the window and take some more photos. Please see attached.
Also - it seems as if the casement is sealed to the windowframe (not a cover). Is this normal?

Hi Annie. Perfect, thanks. I suspect this is a 39-083 Awning Operator. Compare the dimensions to confirm. For a new handle, see the 39-114L sold separately.

It's not unusual for the casement sill to be sealed. It still will need to be removed to replace the operator, which isn't as difficult as it sounds. See the second video below--it shows how to do this for a casement window operator, which is a little different; but the principles will apply.
