Missing top part bi-fold door

A home owner from New York says:
Hello,
Our bi-fold door top part just broke, and we couldn't find the parts anywhere. This is an old door. Please help with this so that we can order the correct top parts, as our little one keeps opening the door and this is our linen closest! Also, do we need to take the door out fully to add this top part or can this be done with the half of the door already placed in the closet?
Thank you,
Mal

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hi Mal,

This looks like a Paniflex door, so you can start by comparing our 23-099 center spring-loaded roller and related parts to your original hardware. It's pretty much always easiest to remove the door when replacing hardware but you may be able to get away with installing the roller in the doors current state if you have enough clearance to insert the wheel into the top track. Thanks for posting!
