Mlgard Ultra Series replacement parts

Quick Learner from California
Hello, I'm looking to replace this block and tackle for a Millard Ultra series. I believe it is the S380-27 (bottom width is 1") but if you can confirm that would be great. Thank you.

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. Before we can confirm if this is the Series 380, can you also show us a photo of the inside of the balance's metal channel where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism? That'd be located in the middle of the channel.

Here is the other side that is intact. I hope this is the pics you need. Thank you for your help.

Perfect, thank you! We can help supply the balance shown here. However, it must be a custom order due to the special blue "clip" that connects the spring to the pulley mechanism. The S380 lacks such a clip.

With that said, I'll email you a purchase link and price quote for (2) of these balances that you can use to place an order on our website. Please note that there is a 5-6 week lead time.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the response! What does this "blue clip" provide in the form of function that the S380 doesn't provide? It seems more like a guide point and not a structural component.

Here is the broken balance attachment clip. Again doesn't look like it provides structural integrity, maybe just a guide.

The connecting point between the spring and pulley of your balance provides a different calibration than our stock balances. On paper, the stock balances should work but customers who replaced balances with your Caldwell configuration with our stock balances have gotten back to us over the past few years stating that the new balances broke within a year. This is why we now strongly recommend using replacements with the same spring and pulley connection, which will require a custom order.
