More Measurements needed for 40-049

Question

I need to know if your 40-049 lockset measures 1-1/2" from the middle of the handle to the edge of the strike plate. My old door latch measures that size and I can't find any replacement. Thank you

I'm not sure what measurement it is you need, exactly. The middle of the handle to the edge of the strike is kind of an awkward measurement to gauge, and I'm not sure how telling it is. Do all the other measurements we show for the 40-049 match? Can we also see a few pictures of the handle set you have now? Finally, do you know the brand of your door, or do you see any stamps or markings anywhere? That will allow us to find a good match.
