Mortice lock for masterpiece sliding patio door.

I purchased the mortise lock (item 82-243) in this pic. (below) but the latch itself doesn't seem to extend as far as my original lock (above) so it doesn't catch the strike. All other dimensions seem the same.
Is there a different model I should be using instead?

Hello!

The hook can be extended or retracted by turning the screw just above it. Try it out and let me know if it helps.

Yes, I extended it as far as possible but that didn't change the situation.

All of our mortise lock latches go out the same length, unfortunately. You could also pack out the keeper using some washers. That could give you a little more play in the keeper. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.
