Mortise Latch Fell in Door

Question

In need of a hook latch for a 411 Glass Sliding Patio Door. The door is manufactured by Swisco. I bought the house new in 2017. When taking off the broken latch it fell down to the bottom of the door. Didn't know that could happen so I do not have a picture of the latch. I have been on Swisco's website but there are a lot of different latches and don't know which one is the correct one to buy. Tried buying one from Lowes and Home Depot but they are to big to fit in to the door. Can someone give me the proper part number for the latch that will work on this door.

Thanks for posting. When we hear that a mortise lock has fallen in the door, we typically assume that it is the 82-218. It is a common occurrence with this mortise.

Take a look at the dimensions from the 82-218. You'll especially want to compare the measurement for the installation holes. If they are not a match, please let me know.
