Mortise lock

Question

Hi I purchase a mortise lock a while ago. When the handyman tried to put it in place, he realize that the lock was not the same size as the one he took out. I looked at the patent number on the old one, Im trying to see if you guys had something close to it. The pictures I hope can explain whats going on with the installation of this lock.

Hello! I see you purchased our 82-211, which is only 1-3/8" deep. You may want to consider our 82-214 instead, which is 1-11/16" deep. Please carefully review the dimensions we show on the 82-214 store page before you buy anything, just to be 100% sure that everything lines up.
