Mortise locks 82-227 and 82-218 are too wide

Question

I have purchased both mortise locks 82-227 and 82-218. All of the locks I purchased are 1/2 inch wide.The attachment has my notes for the size lock that I need. I need 3/8

Looking at your picture, the 82-218 appears to be the best match. Keep in mind that these are meant to have a tight fit. It may seem like the 82-218 doesn't fit at first, but I think it should still pop in. As for the mounting holes you should be able to get away being 1/16" off. They don't really make a version of the 82-218 lock with that subtle of a difference. Also look video below, that may help.

If you are confident that the 82-218 is not the right match, however, then we will need a photo of your original lock out of the door. Seeing the part itself would help us find something better.
