Mount these on the side?

A handy person from Minnesota says:
We bought your 39-398 sash limited for our facility.
These worked on the wide windows, but some sash openings are only 14" wide. There's not enough space to mount them on the bottom as the others.
Can they be mounted on the open side?

Thanks for posting. Believe it or not, in all my years working on casement windows--and that's a lot of years, believe me!--I'm afraid I've never attempted to use a Sash Stop Device like the 39-398 on the side of the window frame. It certainly might be possible, but I can't make any guarantees. If you do try it, I'd love to know if it works out. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions.
