Double hung window balancer?

Windows are just over 20 years old

Possibly an American brand window

Could possibly need a couple dozen

Otherwise the windows are in very good shape

Hello,

We can't be sure with your pivot shoe still installed but what I can make our reminds me of the 15-178 or 15-188. You'll need to remove the shoe from the window jamb to compare the width and thickness to yours.

As for the balance, the S770 uses the same type of terminal clip at the end of the pulley but you'll need to confirm that the rest of the specifications match the information from our product page. There should also be a stamp on the metal channel that would correspond to one of our strength options. Thank you!

Hello,
Visually those examples look similar but the dimensions are different.
I can send pictures with the dimensions needed. Along with that "Dakota Balance" is stamped on my pivot shoes if that helps.

Unfortunately, your pivot shoe has been discontinued. Take a look at the 15-179, which is 1" wide and 9/16" thick. This was the closest option we could find. If you decide to give it a try, you will also need to change the pivot bar to something like 26-021.
