Multipoint locks do not extend out the lock

Question

The lock multi points don't extend out to lock the door. Can it be fixed or do we need a new lock?

Hello,

I would recommend checking the handle's thumb latch to make sure that the spindle that engages with the mortise isn't broken. If it is intact, then the mortise lock most likely needs to be replaced. If so, feel free to show us photos of your mortise to research your replacement options. Thank you!
