My balance is falling out of the window

Thanks for reaching out to us! Looks like you have a typical tilt window spiral balance, though the end of yours is bent at an almost 90 degree angle. I'm not sure what could have caused that kind of damage, but its pretty much unusable in this condition. I would wager that's the main source of your problem.

The good news is that there are only two types of tilt window spiral balance: either the 3/8" diameter Series 900 or the 9/16" diameter Series 600. These are the only sizes made for this kind of window, so all you have to do is measure the outer tube on your old balance and pick accordingly.
