My casement window operators are missing!

Question

I just moved into a home and the casement window are missing the operators on both windows?!  Not sure of the brand as they are old or exactly what hardware is needed but I have pics that might help.   It looks like a one-arm operator to me.  Thanks for any help.

Thanks for writing in. Unfortunately it's going to be really difficult to say what you need without seeing original components. I do see the hinge indicates this was ROTO brand hardware; unfortunately, that only complicates matters further, as ROTO has been discontinuing practically all their old operators and related parts, so there's a good chance we're not going to be able to find what you need.

There may be a way to help still. Are there any components at all leftover from the old operators? Brackets, perhaps? A sash track? If not, could we see the hole pattern leftover on the sash where the track and/or the bracket went? That would at least help us determine if you're working with a split-arm or straight-arm. Finally, there's no chance that there's an identical window in the house that still has its old hardware, is there?
