My double hung Malta window falls when unlocked

Handy Person from Glassboro, NJ
Looking for Jamliner for Malta windows. They are plastic. They are double hung and when I unlock the window the top window just falls with no support, Do you have the parts to fix?

Thanks for posting. The plastic piece in the bottom pictures appears to be our 51-159 Malta Pivot Shoe, but unfortunately I will not be able to help you on fix your jamb liner. You may have to contact a local professional. I apologize for the inconvenience.

My solution for dealing with this issue has been to simply knot the cord around the pin. Works great!

However I have a different issue with the same exact window. The spring seems to have become disengaged (I heard it snap) behind the jamb liner on one side and the window will either not stay up(lower window) or fall down(upper window) when lock is opened.. Do you have a solution for this? A replacement jamb line or instructions as to how to remove the jamb and refasten the spring mechanism would seem to be what I need.

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately, if the spring broke then you will have to replace the whole jamb liner. We don't carry them, but you can possibly take yours in to a mill work that still makes wood sashes. They might be able to help you.
