My hinged shower door does not have an opening for the sweep

The sweep also has no holes. I took it apart to paint the frame and can't figure out how to put it back together. There are three nails which go into the piece which attaches to the door but no holes in the sweep. Do you know how it might go back together? Old shower ~25 years in good shape. The sweep looks like the one pictured above.
