I just bought 20 spiral balances for two customers in Florida. They were in four different lengths.
25 of the balances worked fine.
Four of the balances were replacing balances that had been 29-1/2" long. I used 29"-even length balances for those windows.
Those balances popped upon testing, and the spirals came out of the tube. How should I go about fixing this?

For 29.5" long tubes, I suggest going up to 30". If the balance is too short, then the spiral won't be able to reach far enough for the window to close properly. If it's a little long, though, then there should be enough play for it to work properly.
