My window crank snapped!

Quick Learner from Mississauga
Good day,

I was cranking my window closed and bolt from the handle snapped and is stuck inside window crank mechanism.

The only way to open the crank device seems to be some screws underneath it, and any tools I currently have do not fit underneath.

I would appreciate any assistance you guys can offer, thank you so so much in advance !

Looks like you'll need an all new operator. We can offer a replacement, but we need to see the whole thing. Can you open the window as wide as it can go and show me one clear top-down photo that shows me the complete mechanism? Please make sure to disconnect the operator arms from the sash, as well. I need to see the operator base, arms, and the ends of the arms all in one shot. Thanks!

I didn't realize I got a reply, but I can't open the window because the crank is broken.

The head of handle that goes into the crank is literally broken and stuck inside the mechanism. There is no way for me to open the window at this moment.

The operator's head is stuck within the physical device that attaches to my window. The metal head of the operator is broken into the device.

How do I remove the the the device on the window? I seen there is some sort of way to unscrew it from underneath but what tool would I need? Considering the mechanism is so close to the wooden ledge there isn't much room to actually fit anything underneath

I would try drilling out the broken spindle then turn the socket CCW with a wide flat head screwdriver. That may work, but if not you'll have no choice but to destroy the housing. I would highly recommend contacting a local professional if that's the case.
