My window will not stay up, are balance shoes the issue?

My window will. It stay up. Not sure if this balance is on both side,

If the window won't stay up, odds are that the problem is your balance. Fortunately, you have spiral balances. With this kind of balance, you can wind the spiral rod to give it a little more tension. In the worst case scenario, you can turn the spiral one or two more times to fix a sagging balance. Take a look at the videos and guides on the right side of this page to see how this can be done. The 75-006 charging tool will be needed.

It's important that you don't give the rod more than two or three turns. If you don't feel tension building after two or three turns, then the spring is likely shot and winding won't do anything but break it once and for all. In the case that charging doesn't work, you'll need new balances. If your balances are, in fact, broken, please come back to us, and we can work together from there.
