My windows do not have a safety limiter

When I moved into my place years ago, the was a safety latch/limiter on window hinge. We wanted more airflow so I removed the limiter. I can't seem to find it any where. I think there was one on the top and one on the bottom. They are in an aluminum frame I think the windows are fiber glass. The # on the top of the frame is 32380 and bottom is 32381. The frame is 14" long.
