NAMI Window/Screen Retainer Clip

Home Owner from Cape May Court House, NJ
Hi -
Trying to locate this plastic retainer clip for a NAMI window/screen. The clip slides into a channel which then retains the screen. Poor design as the clips break. As a result, need to locate these but unable to do so. Home Depot states Swisco would know. Please advise.

Thanks for your help.

Hello, Todd. We don't sell this exact screen retainer, unfortunately. However we do sell the 70-176 and 70-212 clips that may work just as well for you. These are general use clips that I've personally used on a wide range of different windows. I find them to be very versatile and I think they're well worth considering for your application. Look them over and let me know if you had any questions!

Thank you Tom. Before I purchase, is there a link where to instructions on how to use them? I don't see any instructions/directions. In your opinion, which one is better? I would think the metal may be vulnerable to the elements and rust.
Thank you

We unfortunately don't have an officially written guide for this, though it has been on my to-do list for a few months now. It's something we definitely plan on doing in the future. In the meantime, the concept is pretty simple; basically, the clip slips over screen frame, and then braces the entire insert against the window frame. It works much the same way as your original, except because it "slips on" to the screen frame it can work for a wider variety of sizes.

As for metal vs plastic, you hit the nail on the head. Metal always stands up better unless corrosion is a concern. Considering your location I would strongly consider the plastic 70-176.
