Naidraug 2 1/2 or 2 9/16 depth thickness 1 1/4 length wide to glass

My mortise was destroyed and so was the key. Handle still sits in door but I can't lock it. I believe it is the 3 11/16 Morris kit. As you can see I had to really do a little finagling to remove mortise which caused a little crack on bottom screw hole but I can use a washer to secure. There is some cut out to left of mortise but I should still be able to get new one in. I need mortise, key and lock mechanism with latch and or entire kit. The depth measures 2 9/16 which might be just 2 1/2 but to be sure I wanted to be technical. This door is deep and I have trouble finding a long enough key extentor thing or whatever it's called. Thank you in advance!

Thanks for contacting us. I believe you can use our 82-218 mortise and our 82-315 key lock. Look these parts over and let me know what you think.

If you don't think you can use the 82-315 on your existing handle set, then consider our 82-086 complete patio glass door set. This is for doors ranging anywhere from 1-1/8" or a considerable 2-1/2" thick.

So I ended up getting 82-026 and mortise and after installation the key is extremely difficult to turn and remove from key hole. How do we make this looser or is it a defective locking mechanism?

I hear this problem every now and then. It usually happens if the key lock is a little off skew when installed. I recommend uninstalling it then trying to reinstall it again. That usually fixes the problem, as long as you make sure it's as steady as possible.

If you keep running into the issue, let me know.
