I require 4 of the metal insert that fits in the shoe holder that the has at the bottom of the sash fit into. I've seen other parts that are not open on top that will not work with bars on the window due to their shape. The metal disc looks slightly more than 1/2" diMeter

The piece you're looking for is known as a center cam, but yours isn't available by itself, I'm afraid. You will need an all new pivot shoe. See our 15-175 for my recommendation.
