Hello!
I'm looking for a replacement for the above pictured lock. The spring in the latch mechanism has broken, so the latch kind of just flops around. It still sort of works, but without the spring, you have to fish the latch out of the receptacle at times.
Thanks!
Mike

Here's a follow up on some dimensions:
Depth of lock: 1 and 3/16"
Width of lock: 1/2 inch
Distance between screw holes: 3 and 11/16"
Length of front oval face plate: 3 3/16"
The keyway is a cross shape (see attached images)

Although the keyway is cross-shaped, the male part that fits into it is not a cross-shape, but looks more like a blade, like a flathead screwdriver. So my guess is that the male part could go into a both a cross shape and a 45 degree keyway receptacle.

Hello,
Take a look at our 82-229 or 82-218 if you're able to reuse the recessed faceplate of your original mortise lock. Though I can't guarantee that the cross-shaped keyway won't cause a problem, I agree that if the thumb latch spindle is flat, the 45-degree keyway in our mortise locks should work for you. Thanks for posting!
