Need Externally Accessible Lock

Quick Learner from Colorado
I'm looking to replace the handle and whatever guts necessary to be able to lock my slider with a key from the outside. I took a few measurements and it looks like the installation holes are 3-15/16", but the overall length plate that connects the handle to the door looks to be closer to 9-3/4" vs. 8-1/2" (definitely more than 8-1/2" at any rate) so I wasn't sure this (82-086)would work. Also, what other components would I likely need to complete the job?

I think our 82-086 is a great match, actually. The overall plate size isn't the same, but that doesn't matter so much. As long as the hole spacing is the same, and as long as the thumb lever and key lock align with the proper hole in the mortise, then you should be good to go.
