Need New Channel Balances

Hi there,

I need 18 replacement balances sashes with hardware attached. Unfortunately, the originals favor a couple of your styles(380 and 385) so I am unable to decide which to order. The channel is the 1/2 channel, measures 27" long on just the metal channel, and our windows do not tilt out. I can tell you the stamp on my old ones have "26 4" stamped on it with the additional stamp marks of what appears to say horizontal "RN" then "BSI" stamped vertically, followed by "TF" stamped horizontally again. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Also a quote for the 18 if our old one is identifiable. Many thanks, Kim

Hey Kim. Yes, this is indeed either a S380-27 or S385-27. The only really to tell the difference between these two balances is to measure the depth of that bottom nylon fitting, or what we call the shoe. You can think of the depth as the measurement of the 'heel-to-toe' of the shoe. For the Series 380, this depth is 1". For the Series 385, this depth is incrementally larger, at 1-3/32". You'll need to measure the depth of your old shoe to determine what you need.

You'll then need to choose a stamp option. Your old stamp code of 26-4 conforms to our stamp option of 2640. Let us know if you have any further questions.
