hello and thank you for getting back to me. If these do not work is there a way for me to return them. Im not sure if the ones you sent me are exactly the same.

I understand what you're saying - the little finger bump on your original lock isn't an aspect included on the newer part. Apparently the manufacturer said it was catching the other sash when operating the sashes.
