Hello, thank you for posting,

Your original does resemble the 39-187, but unfortunately we don't carry a version of this operator with a shorter arm. There are a few options to try get this operator to work. First, you can install the new operator to see if it works anyways. If it doesn't, you can try re-positioning the stud bracket the link arm connects to and see if that makes up the difference. If all else fails, you can try swapping the old and new link arms. If you're up to the task, drill the link arms out, then use a 62-014 Rivet to connect the old link arm to the new operator. 

Please note once the operator is modified, it is no longer returnable.
