Need Window Balances-4. 2 right and 2left

Home Owner from Garden City, KS

I am not sure of the window manufacturer. It would have been assembled sometime around 1999 as that is the time my house was built. I have several windows that need the balances replaced but I am going to start with one of the smaller windows to make sure I can do it.

I am not certain how to remove the balances as the tops run all the the way up the window frame from what I can see. I am attaching photos and the outside identifications are 18R  BSI GL. From your website the locking terminal appears to be a Great Lakes unit but it is a white color.

I don't see a way to remove the balance as the channel appears to run the entire height of the window frame.

Thanks

Hi Brent,

I can confident we can provide you with the replacement balances you need but I'll need to see an unobstructed view of the shoe (the white nylon piece) removed from the window track. I suspect these assemblies will need to be a custom order, since we'll need to attach the shoe but I'd like to be sure of the exact part you have.

I'll also need to know how the balances are attached to the top of the window channel; a hook or a screw?

Take a look at the video tutorial below for an idea on how to remove/install these assemblies.

Thanks for the additional photos. Your window balances have the 15-197 Black Locking Terminal attached to them, so these will need to be custom assemblies, as suspected.

I've forwarded a quote for (2) S751-29 (28HD Stamp, supports sash weights between 22 to 28lbs ) and S751-31 (30HD Stamp, supports 23 to 29lbs).

The clip at the top of your balances is the 19-029 Short S-Clip, which is sold separately from the balances. These will not be included in the quote so you'll need to remember to add them to the cart, along with the balances to have them ship together.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
