Need a handle that has a key lock

A quick learner from USA says:
I am including an the interior photo of the handle and its closing mechanism is a clamp on the interior part of the handle that is toggled to clamp and unclamp by an up-down lever, to an extruded ridge along the mating area and track of door frame of the exterior sliding glass door.

I am in need of a handle that I can lock from the outside.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We may be able to supply an exterior key lock pull for you, but I need more information from you before I can find something that I'm sure will be compatible. To start, please measure the distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center, and write out what you get for me.

Next, please remove the interior handle from the door and show me the underside. I specifically need to see if there's any slot or hole where a key lock tail would go. If there is then it will make your life a lot easier, but if not then we can still work something out. Just let me know.

A quick learner from USA says:
Dear Tom from SWISCO:

The distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center is 4 & 14/16" (4 7/8"). Thank you.

Regards,

David

Excellent, thank you so much, David. I appreciate your patience during this busy season, too. We're getting slammed due to all the inclement weather lately.

Based on the data provided, I am very confident that our 82-306 keyed exterior pull will work on your door. Look it over and let me know if you had any questions!

A quick learner from USA says:
Dear Tom:

Thank you.

If I may I would like to confirm that the keyed exterior sliding door pull will work with and toggle the closing mechanism of a clamp, to clamp and unclamp to an extruded ridge along the mating area and track of a door frame of the interior sliding glass door

The interior door handle and its closing mechanism is a clamp on the interior part of the handle that is toggled to clamp and unclamp by an up-down lever, to an extruded ridge along the mating area and track of door frame of the exterior sliding glass door.

Please see attached photos.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

David

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Yes, that's exactly how our 82-306 works. If you look at our product images you'll see a flat tail sticking out of the back end of the key lock. This tail fits directly in that slot you showed me in your last batch of photos. When you turn the key, you'll be turning that slot, which will activate the clamp.

A quick learner says:
Dear Tom:

I have a locksmith specialist acquaintance. And I relayed this solution and he inquired if the the Keyed Exterior Sliding Door Pull Part No.: 82-306 would include the cylinder in the picture "How to install a key lock in the 82-306 Keyed Exterior Sliding Door Pull"

And if not how could I purchase a cylinder that could work with the Keyed Exterior Sliding Door Pull Part No.: 82-30.

Thank you.

Regards,

David
