Need a replacement channel balance

A home owner from Union City CA says:
A few years ago I purchased 2 27" Series 380 Channel Balances , option 2650 to replace a broken balance on my Milgard window. Unfortunately, these are way too stiff. Requires a lot of strength to push the window down and there's a few inches from the bottom where it can't close all the way. Need something with less resistance. Any suggestions ?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

It sounds like the 2650 stamp option that you chose was too strong. I recommend weighing your sash on a scale then referring to the weight chart we show on the S380-27 store page to confirm exactly what option you need for your window.
