Floor mounted Pella sliding patio door locking mechanism. Product is circa 1989 when the house was built. Only marking noted was on the bottom side in a plastic bottom plate as "5840-0002". Mechanism is on left side of the sliding door and door opens to the left.
Looking for a replacement mechanism or suggestion of what else to do.
Tang in locking mechanism refuses to retract into mechanism body when the actuator on the top surface of the mechanism is moved to the left.
Tang seems to operate freely when the mechanism is uninstalled.
