window measurement is 64" X 33.5"

I'm afraid this information does not tell us what balance you have. We will need to see a picture of the balance itself, preferably out of the window.

Ah, I see. This is a type of coil balance. Your pivot shoe resembles our 15-111. Do you agree? If so, I would recommend our S160-5 to replace your old springs. These are also stamped with "5.5."

I measured the pivot shoe and it is exact.
I was wondering if the spring is 4 inches shorter than the original, should I lower where the coil support is located by 4 inches?
If you think that will work then I would like to order:
2 pivot shoes 15-111
2 1/2 inch coil double supports and
4 S160-5 coil springs

Ah, I see. If the old springs were longer than the new ones, mounting them a little lower may make all the difference. However, you need to make sure that they aren't mounted so low that they interfere with the tilt latch. Triple check the travel and location of the tilt latch as you raise and lower your sash just to make sure.
