The metal channel is 1/2" wide; for a non-tilt window; it is a combination of string and Spring load mechanism. And the only mark it has is: 27 3 GX CMC 11.

Thanks for writing in! I've gotten your balances narrowed down to two possible series. To confirm the right replacement, I'll need to see a photo of the bracket connecting the spring and the string from the pulley system.

Thanks for the requested photo. You'll need the S395-28 to replace your balances. You can likely use the 2730 but it would be advised to double check that the sash weight falls between 13 to 19lbs.
