Need help locating this roller

Contractor from Georgia
Roller from an aluminum sliding door probably installed in late 70's. There are 4 of these doors in the home and all rollers need replacing. Cannot find this anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting. It appears that this is only the internal portion of your single wheel roller. To recommend the most accurate replacement, we'll need to see the whole assembly.

It is likely the housing may still be installed in the frame of the bottom of the sliding door.

Would it be possible for you to remove that from the door?

This is the entire assembly, there are no other parts to this roller?.

All rollers designed this way have two components; an internal and external housing. This is what allows them to adjust. Without the roller housing, the roller would not function properly.

I would sincerely recommend double and triple checking the bottom of the door to find the housing. You may need to use a pair of needle nose pliers to dislodge it from the door.

I hear you but there is no other components at all. There is 1 screw that holds this roller in place and all that remains is the track across the bottom of the door. Each roller is screwed in on the ends with 1 screw and there are no adjustments for these either. They appear to be "self adjusting"?. No springs or anything to adjust, the wheels are in a slightly angled groove if that makes sense.

Hey there. I've come across this component before and I agree with Jasmine's assessment: what you have here is just the interior portion of an assembly. It is not self adjusting and it is meant to install with an outer housing. I can promise you that beyond any shadow of a doubt because I've seen it before. No company would ever make a door with just this piece by itself. It's simply not done.

If this really is the only thing that's in your door, then that means someone took this out of a complete roller assembly and screwed it to your door as some kind of hatchet-job repair. I've never in my life seen such a thing successfully done, though, so if I were you I would triple check that door to be 110% positive.

Either way, this part isn't sold separately and you won't find it anywhere by itself. Your only hope is to find the same kind of complete assembly it came out of and do the same thing: rip it out of the outer housing and screw it to the door as-is. However, without seeing the outer housing, it's not possible to know what it would be. There are just too many possibilities. My best guess is 81-039 but that really is just a guess. There are many, many more.

That is an essential detail. If there is no outer housing, then we can't help.
