Need help removing pivot shoes

Quick Learner from USA
Hi

I have trouble removing pivot shoe as shown in picture. The frame is steel, not vinyl. The right side overlaps the pivot shoe about 1-2mm. A cutout was already there from installers. I could not pry out with a screwdriver unless I totally break the shoe. Even if I did, I would not be able to put in replacement shoe. Any advice?

Thanks

Normally, you can slide a flat tip screw driver behind the the pivot shoe and pry it out. Because the opening is small, push the pivot shoe down and slightly cut off more of the aluminum window frame to give you more play to remove pivot shoe. That may help.
