Hi- thanks for posting!

The parts you show in the photos are our 15-087 coil spring housing with cam pivot and our 15-086 top tandem coil spring housing. The puzzling question we have is, for a 12 lb sash, you only need two S180-6 coil springs, but you show four springs which would be S180-3. Please check the numbers stamped on your springs to confirm and let us know. We pulled up some media guides and attached them to this page to help you remove the parts from the tracks.

Thanks for getting back to us. Our basic recommendations haven't changed, but it looks like your old spring is marked with a "5." This indicates a support strength of 5 pounds, which would be extraordinarily strong for a mere 12 pound sash. Using two 5 pound springs on each side carries 20 pounds, which is way too strong.

You should double check the weight of your sash to be sure it's accurate. Cross-reference the stamps on your springs to those options we have for the Series 180 to determine the best combination for your sash weight.
