Need hinge and straight bar

Question

I cant take off the hinge at the moment because I cant leave the window detached.The hinge is broken and I likely wont be able to get it back on. The one you show (36-004-10) above has a dimension of 10", whereas my hinge has a 9.5" dimension. The vertical pc is 7 11/16" whereas mine in 6.5". As I browsed the hinge selection this is the only hinge with 3 bars with my configuration. The rest on your site show various other bent and double bar configurations. The lengths that are different will not cause a problem for me to install, I'll just drill new hole locations. The only difference I can see is the length and position of the diagonal bar. But without those dimensions on your spec sheet I cant compare. Im tempted to go ahead and order considering all that I've mentioned and hope that it works, as long as Im replacing the top and bottom hinge. As I gather, there is no right or left hinge, its universal.

Hello! I believe our 36-004-10 hinge can still work for you, but there are a couple caveats. First, you will need to replace both the top and bottom hinges at the same time. This will ensure a symmetrical operation, which will make up for most differences between the old and new assembly.

Secondly, you will likely have to drill new holes to get the new assembly to install in your window, as you already suggested. A modest amount of handiwork is typical for this kind of project.

Otherwise I think the 36-004-10 is a great pick for your window. As long as you replace the top and bottom together, and as long as you're fine drilling new holes I don't believe there will be any major complications.
