Need operator

A home owner from Florida says:
The operator for our awning window is not working. We are able to open the window but when trying to close the window the crank comes out in our hand.

Thanks for posting. If your handle is coming off, then the worm gear is likely worn and you need to replace the entire operator. See our 39-258. I think this looks like a match, but compare the dimensions and hole spacing to your old part and see if you think it could work for you.
