Need patio door lock replacement

A handy person from Ventura CA says:

The pictures show the lock from my sliding patio door. It's original so it is over 30 years old. There are no identifying names or marks. It does not have a key lock

There is a number stamped inside the outside handle = 142-14.

The door frame receptacle has the number 940-?(i think it is an 8).

This handle is similar in design to our 82-262. Look this part over and let me know if you think this would work for you as a replacement.
