Need replacement for broken balances

Home Owner from St Augustine, FL
Broken mounting end (white plastic). Pictures show length is about 28.5" but not sure color to choose. Existing may be yellow? Assume a 29" would work. The window is about 18 lbs in weight and it is tilt.
Thanks

This looks like a pretty typical tilt window spiral balance, except yours is missing the outer tube. Do you have one that still has that tube? You need to measure its diameter to determine the best replacement. You basically have two options: the Series 900, which has a 3/8" diameter tube, and the Series 600, which has a 9/16" diameter tube.

Once I know the Series, I can walk you through which color tip option to choose.

Looks like it is 3/8" diameter white plastic tube. Attaching picture of tube with balances.

Thank you! So, to answer your first question, you can round up to a 29" balance. That would be our S900-29. Now, this balance does have a Yellow Tip option, but I don't think that's what you have. This tip is typically manufactured to be bright, almost lemon yellow. Yours looks like it might just be white, but discolored from age. Our red tip can replace the old white tips they used to use.

That's just an educated guess, though. Instead of guessing, my recommendation to you is to weigh your sash on a scale and then refer to the chart on the S900-29 store page. That will tell you exactly what you want with no room for doubt.
