Need replacement lock assembly

Home Owner from Vacaville
I have Amerimax sliding window and the lock assembly has jammed up and will not operate. I'm looking to get a replacement for it. Can you assist me in doing this?

Thanks for reaching out to us. I've seen this handle once or twice before, but the bad news is that we never found a perfect fit for it. The problem lies with the internal mortise lock: this is a very unique design that precludes compatibility with any of our available handle sets.

Before I say anything for sure, though, I'd like some more detail just so we can be certain of what we're dealing with. if at all possible, I'd like you to remove the mortise from the door and show me a clear photo of the hole that takes the handle's thumb lever. I'd also like you to tell me the distance between the two installation holes on the handle itself, center-to-center.

I can't guarantee that we can find anything for you but I will do my best.

I hope these pictures work. For some reason all my pics will not load up. Is there an email address I could send the pics to? Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide. One final thought is there a different style mortise latch I could get to work in it's place?

Looks like your photos came in perfectly well. These are a huge help, too, I appreciate it! I'm sorry to have you jump through these hoops.

Looking at the hole spacing in your door and the design of your mortise, I think our 82-030 handle set will work for you. This isn't traditionally used with this kind of mortise, but I think that your case is a little unique. It seems that your mortise lock has a thin, 45 degree slot in exactly the right spot it needs to be to interact with a thumb lever like what comes with our 82-30.

While this may be an atypical application, our 82-030 should work perfectly well without having to change the mortise. This is my top recommendation.

Ok thank you. I did some tinkering with the lock assembly this weekend and was able to get everything to work. I appreciate all your assistance.
