Hey, Chal. This looks like our S385-30 channel balance. Just make sure the sizes of the nylon attachments are the same as yours!

I see 30" Series 385 Channel Balance has a number of choices for options. How do I determine the correct option. I did get a 2960 and thread broke within 4 window up and down movements. So, is it ok to go with 2970 and still window be safe to operate?

Thanks,
Chal

I wouldn't recommend doing that just yet. I think at this point it would be best to determine how heavy your sash is. Once you know the weight of the sash, you are better able to determine what option you need. These are precise systems so it's best to avoid guessing.

For comparison, two balances with a 2960 option can carry a sash weight of 32 through 35 pounds, a 2965 option can carry 35 through 39 pounds, and a 2970 option can carry 39 through 42 pounds. How heavy is your sash?

Thanks Paul,

I will measure weight order the parts as suggested.

The weight of sash is 31.6lbs.

So, based on the weight chart, should I get 2950?

Thanks,

Yes! Based on a sash weight of 31.6 pounds, a stamp option of 2950 would be perfect.
