Need replacement source

Home Owner from Rockport,Ma 01966

I am looking for replacement parts for this type of window. I have a building with three apartments all using this type of product but various sizes.A couple have problems now but I'm sure I will need more in the future. Can you help me? I noticed a 26 stamped into the top of the black mounting end. do you have something that can replace the whole assembly . Thanks, Scott

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! I am confident we can supply you with a replacement for the balances you need. Although, I'll only be able to provide you with a replacement recommendation for this specific balance. If the balances for the other windows are a different size from this one, I'll need to know the information regarding those specific balances to identify the correct replacements.

That said, I'll need to know the length of the balance from the top of the black plastic tip to the bottom of the channel, not including the wedge (shoe). I will also need to know the width of the shoe, which should either be 1" or 1-1/4".

The final piece of information I'll need is the exact weight of the sash. I'll need this to determine the stamp the replacement balances would need; this denotes the weight range the balance should be able to carry.

Please feel free to reach out with any other questions you might have in the meantime.

Top sash weighs13.6 lbs and the length of balance is 24.25 inches. the bottom sash with is 15 lbs. It measures 26 inches The wedge shoe is 1.25 inches wide.

Thanks for confirming this information. These balances typically measure in whole number increments so I suspect the 24-1/4" balance should be 24"; this would be replaced with the S775-24 with a 24B Stamp and a 1-1/4" shoe.

For the 26" balance, you'll need the S775-26 with a 26B stamp and a 1-1/4" shoe.
