Need replacement window balance

Quick Learner from Rocklin, CA
Is the picture of the "model number" enough to identify the balace I need?  I can take more pics if needed.
Thanks

Hi there Tim.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Your stamp helps, but we need additional information to determine a suitable match. Can you show us photos of the top and bottom fittings? We'd also like you to confirm the depth of the bottom fitting, as shown below. Additionally, how many balances are you looking to replace?

The "depth" looks to be 1-1/16 inch.
As to how many, that will depend on the answer to this question:  Would it be possible to have them made with a slightly "stronger" counter balance?  I have 2 windows that, ever since the glass was replaced, do not stay all the way up.  It seems the new glass is heavier than the original glass.

Thanks for getting back to us. Yes, we can look into this. Are the two windows identical to the one that uses the 86 29-5 stamp? Can you weigh the window sashes on a scale and tell us what you get? We'd also like to know the stamps on the balances.

Yes, the windows are all identical and all the balances have the same stamp.  I will work on weighing the sashes later today.  I'm still enjoying my morning coffee. :)

All the balances have the same stamp.  All 3 sashes are "identical".
The sash with the original glass weighs about 28 lbs.
The sashes that have their glass replaced weigh about 36 lbs.

Thank you kindly! We can supply balances with the 29-9 stamp for the 36-pound sash. A pair of balances with such a stamp will support a sash weighing 35 to 37.99 pounds.

The original 29-5 stamp is calibrated for a sash weighing 28 to 31.99 pounds.

If you can confirm the number of balances you'd like to order of each stamp, we can get the ball rolling.
