Need replacement window latch for 1940 Casement Windows

Home Owner from Oakland California
I have 1940 steel casement windows. The latch to the right side window (if you are inside the house looking out) has broken. I need a replacement. How do I order?

I'm sorry to say that we don't sell a window lock that matches this. This is a very, very old window and I would be shocked if these are still being made.

I'm happy to look into an alternative, but I need more information. The best place to start is to measure the distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center, and tell me what you get. Please make sure you write this measurement out in your response. A photo of a tape measure will not be sufficient.

The screws are 1 3/8" apart, center to center. You can see how the latch works - the handle rotates on a screw/pin (which is what broke) and then the latch goes over the raised part of piece on the left (the part with the two screws that are 1 3/8" apart). Please recommend an alternative. Thanks.

Thank you! I appreciate it. We just so happen to have one locking handle with a 1-3/8" c-c hole spacing. See our 38-054. This is still a very different design compared to your original, and I've never used it on this kind of window, but it I think it's well worth considering. Note that the lock tab offset is 5/16", indicated in the diagram below. We also sell the 38-055 for the opposite handed side.
