A quick learner from 12582 says:

No names or numbers known on part - Guessing these are called shoes?

DIMENSIONS APPEAR TO BE :

  • 1" Wide
  • 2" Long
  • 1/2" Deep

Do I have to remove window from casing to replace these?

Appreciate your assistance !

Thank you.

Hello! Yes, this part is specifically called a pivot lock shoe, but we usually just call them pivot shoes. Yours is similar in design to our 15-188. Our dimensions appear to be a little different, however. I would remove it from the window to confirm. You'll definitely get more accurate measurements once it's out. You'll also want to compare it to our 15-178, which is another possible match.

As for removal itself, see the two videos below. These walk you through every possible method of removing a pivot shoe from a window.

Thanks for the reply Tom.
Yeah l realize my measurements might not be accurate, I'll get the shoe out and get more accurate figures.
Hopefully you've got a match to replace.
